Let’s Continue to Grow and Expand in 2019: Message from John Bruce

As most of you may know, Bob Dominguez, our co-founder and first President and CEO, had recently been suffering from declining health. We are sorry to report that Bob passed away peacefully on the morning of March 17. Bob’s services and internment were held in Portland on March 25 in a small, private ceremony. Rest in peace, Bob.

WSPC is taking the steps to improve our prominence in the pharmacy space, all aimed at strengthening each WSPC member’s opportunity for success.
Over the past year, our WSPC membership has grown. Our goals are to continue to grow and to expand. Through our annual membership questionnaire, we are listening and developing strategies to address your issues and concerns.

In our constant and continuing efforts to produce value that transcends price, we have new opportunities and solutions to offer our members: KloudScript is an option for those who want to investigate the opportunities in specialty pharmacy. UpDox is a way to improve your FAX utilization and enhance patient communication. New supplier relationships with Nordic Naturals, Owens Mumford, Pharmacy Insurance Network, and ResponseNow offer purchase advantages in various areas (see the Member Benefits section for more information).

WSPC is Working for You! From left to right: Peter Kounelis, VP of the AmerisourceBergen Elevate Provider Network; Kerri Okamura, WSPC Regional Leader; and Kevin Demass WSPC Board Chairman, attending the NCPA Fly-In.

We continue our efforts with NCPA in our dogged legislative fight against DIR fees and other injustices. Furthermore, we are promoting the services and concept of CPESN to improve patient care.

We just completed our 10th Annual Leadership Meeting in Portland, Oregon. It is always designed to bring you, our members, better prices, better service, and better ancillary solutions to the complexities you face every day. Every year, it gets better.

Our Board Chairman, Kevin DeMass, RPh, held a planned meeting of the Board of Directors to discuss their agenda items. The Board of Directors reviewed, updated, and made current the WSPC Bylaws. They have subsequently approved and signed the updated Bylaws.

As you can see, WSPC is taking the steps to improve our prominence in the pharmacy space, all aimed at strengthening each WSPC member’s opportunity for success. These are exciting and important times for our organization and members. We continue to work to provide outstanding independent pharmacies with a competitive edge.

Thank you for being a valued member of WSPC. Your trust is sincerely appreciated and never taken for granted.
