Ron’s Apothecary Shoppe and Foodland Drug: Juneau, AK
Owners: Scott Watts, RPh, and Gretchen Watts

Good Neighbor Pharmacy® expands to Juneau, Alaska. Scott and Gretchen Watts own and operate two independent pharmacies, Ron’s Apothecary and Foodland Drug, in the picturesque southeastern Alaskan community. Their pharmacies embody the meaning of a true community pharmacy, and Scott says they “strive to go above and beyond in providing quality health care service and products to Juneau and the outlying communities.”

These two Northwest natives moved to Alaska to further enjoy the great outdoors, raise their family, and pursue pharmacy and patient care. They purchased Ron’s Apothecary Shoppe, an independent retail pharmacy, in 2001. Ron’s Apothecary is the only PCAB accredited compounding pharmacy in Juneau, and it’s known for a large selection of natural health products, vitamins, and compounding products. Somewhat unique to Alaska, they also provide mail and airport delivery services to remote Alaskan patients. They are excited to celebrate Foodland’s first anniversary in March. It is located in the Foodland Market, a combined store facility with the pharmacy, IGA grocery, and ACE Hardware.
