Passing the Torch

When it came time to pass the torch, Jack Silberstein, RPh ensured the legacy of his beloved pharmacy by keeping it independent.

Jack Silberstein, RPh owner of Grove Harbor Pharmacy in Garden Grove, CA recently retired in 2017, selling his pharmacy to Farzan Isfahani, PharmD, a fellow pharmacist and WSPC Member. On September 17, 2017, the Orange County Pharmacists Association honored Jack Silberstein with a “murder mystery” dinner and event. Jack’s dedication to independent pharmacies and his support of the Orange County community was celebrated by his family, friends, and colleagues. Victoria Maurino, the Southern California WSPC Strategic Business Manager, along with the Orange County AmerisourceBergen Sales Executive, Heather Hew were also in attendance, both having worked with Jack for many years.

Victoria Maurino said, “It’s such a good feeling to see independent pharmacies staying independent, thanks to owners selling to other independent owners! I was thankful to be a part of Jack’s celebration and look forward to seeing the great things Farzan will do with Grove Harbor.”

Western States Pharmacy Coalition is proud to have had Jack as a loyal member for many years, and wish him nothing but the best in his retirement. We’re thrilled to still have Grove Harbor in the WSPC family, and wish Farzan much success with his new pharmacy and future ventures!
